Milwaukee?

We're moving to Milwaukee and we just wanted to know where are some good areas to move to? What is there to do? Also what is the HOAN Bridge....where does it go to and how long is it?

  2. The Hoan Bridge has a yellow arch and is just south of downtown on I-94. If I could, I'd move to the East Side or Wauwatosa (I love local coffeeshops, etc., a place with nature and character). There are nice suburbs in Glendale/Whitefish Bay. Other great suburbs to the west and south if you don't mind the drive (Brookfield is pretty rich, "keep up with the Jones'"; I think West Allis is seedy-looking, reminds me of Cleveland). The center/northwest areas of the city are generally the poorer areas (although there are good pockets, such as just east of southern Wauwatosa... ~50th St... I forget the neighborhood name).
  3. Wauwatosa is a good area to move to. I live in Wauwatosa and its pretty peaceful and quiet. The bridge is really not all that exciting. Some things to do are going skating at Butler Skateland or going to Northtown Cinema. Before everybody went to Mayfair Mall until they made a rule that you have to be present with an adult or and adult to go in. Or you can go to the Amastad or Ladybug those are teen clubs that alot of blacks go to. (I'm black). Its ghetto up there though, its usually shut down because people be shooting up there. The North side of the city is where blacks be. South side is mexicans. East side by the lake is whites. West is all of the above I guess.
