What is the best place to rent an apartment in the Milwaukee, WI area?

I'm a recent college graduate who lives in Chicago. I may have a job offer coming up that will require me and my boyfriend to relocate to the Milwaukee, WI area. I will be working in Sussex, WI and then eventually in northwest Milwaukee. I must mention I have a 10 month old baby girl. I want something safe but still young. I need a two bedroom that allows a cat, and I do not plan on spending more than $600-750 a month. Any information on Milwaukee, WI (my future home) would be helpful. Thanks!

1. Check with the Chamber of Commerce and ask for a referral to rentals. Also, check with Realtors and local papers. Make a trip there and look at the units you think look good. What is good to some is bad for others.
