I live in Milwaukee, I need to send a letter to NY. How many stamps do i need to put on the Letter?

I live in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I need to send a letter to New York, NY. How many postage stamps do i need to put onto the letter so it gets there?

1. If normal size letter, send one 42 cent stamp..

3. The postage is determined by the weight of the envelope. If you think one isn't enough, or you're just not sure, take it to the post office and have them weigh it.

5. Here's a tip: a one ounce or less letter INSIDE the U.S. takes one stamp (41cents), no matter which state you send it to. If it weighs more, it depends on the weight and where it's going. Most post offices have a little kiosk-type set up in the lobby where you can figure that out.

Your local post office will weigh it for you if there's any doubt in your mind about how much you can stuff in an envelope.
